Step-by-Step Application Process
STEP 1: Confirm Your Eligibility
Before beginning your application, ensure you meet these basic requirements:

✓ You are the daughter of a single mother
✓ You have demonstrated academic excellence in your secondary education
✓ You have identified how other financial needs (beyond tuition, books, and stipend) will be met
STEP 2: Prepare Your Application Letter
Write a formal application letter that includes:
- Your full name and contact information
- Detailed reason for seeking support – Be honest and specific about your family circumstances and financial need
- Name of the institution where you’ve been admitted or are currently studying
- Program of study and its duration
- Your current year of study (if already enrolled)
Writing Tips
- Be clear and concise.
- Use formal business letter format.
- Proofread carefully for grammar and spelling.
- Express genuine need while maintaining dignity.
- Explain your academic and career goals
STEP 3: Create Your Educational Resume
Prepare a comprehensive educational resume that includes:
- Personal information (name, date of birth, contact details)
- Educational history (primary and secondary schools attended)
- Academic achievements and awards.
- Examination results (WAEC, NECO, JAMB, etc.)
- Extracurricular activities and leadership roles.
- Community service or volunteer work.
- Skills and competencies
- Career aspiratlons
STEP 4: Gather Required Letters
You will need to collect TWO letters of support:
Letter 1: From Your Mother or Primary Caregiver
This letter should: Confirm your family circumstances, describe the financial challenges facing your family, express support for your educational aspirations, be signed and dated.
Letters 2 & 3: From Two Reputable Community Members. These letters must come from individuals of good standing in your community.
- Be from people who have known you for at least 3 consecutive years.
- Attest to your character, behavior, and potential.
- Be signed with full contact information provided.
- Suitable community members include: Religious leaders. Community chiefs or leaders. Teachers (not from your current institution). Family friends in professional positions. Employers or business owners in your community.
Letter 4: From Your Secondary School
Request an official letter from your secondary school that confirms:
- Your attendance and graduation
- Your academic excellence and good standing.
- Your character and conduct during your time there.
- The letter should be on school letterhead and signed by the principal or authorized official.
STEP 5: Include Admission and Academic Documents
Attach the following:
- Admission letter from your institution of study (photocopy is acceptable)
- Latest examination results (WAEC, NECO, JAMB, or institution’s admission exam)
- If you’re already enrolled, include your most recent academic results or transcrip
STEP 6: Provide a Financial Breakdown
Since our support covers tuition, textbooks, and monthly stipend only, you must submit:
- A detailed breakdown of your total educational costs
- Clear explanation of how other expenses will be met (accommodation, transportation, miscellaneous fees, etc.)
This shows planning and demonstrates other support systems.
STEP 7: Organize Your Application Package
Arrange all documents in this order:
- Application letter (on top)
- Educational resume.
- Letter from mother/caregiver.
- Two letters from community members
- Letter from secondary school.
- Admission letter.
- Examination results.
- Financial breakdown.
- Ensure all documents are clearly labeled.
- Make photocopies for your records.
